Statement of faith Summary

The Godhead

We believe that God is supreme over all creation and that His fullness dwells in Christ Jesus. Colossians 1:15-20; 2:20

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus is the Second Person of the Godhead and is the Son of the Living God and that through Him there is redemption and forgiveness of sins. Salvation is found only in Jesus! Matthew 18:19; John 3:16

We further acknowledge that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin.

We also confess that Jesus is both Lord and Saviour; by faith, we understand that He is the ever present Word. 1 John 4: 2-3 Matthew 1:23 Isaiah 7:14 Romans 10:13 John 1:1-3

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Godhead and He is our Comforter, Helper and Teacher. 1John 2:20

The Bible

We Believe the Bible is God's inspired Word. The Sacred Scriptures is the revelation of who God is; The Father, the Son and The Holy Spirit. The Scriptures contain the commands, laws and a decree revealing His will for mankind and it is the absolute authority to lead all men to righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16

The Church

We believe the Church is the eternal and universal Body of Christ and the instrument through which God’s kingdom is advanced on the earth. As His servants, we perform all the functions of the church, extending into the world God’s saving grace and the redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Ephesians 5:23; 1Peter2:9;Revelation 7:9

Salvation and Evangelism

We believe that the message of the gospel is to be preached. God so ordained that out of our mouths be spoken the words of life bringing all people to faith in Christ.

Romans 10:17; Acts 22: 14

                                                                     Water Baptism

Baptism in water is by immersion and is a symbol of the Christian's identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.

                         John 1:26-28, 31; Romans 6:3-4; Colossians 2:12

                                                                 Deliverance and Restoration

We believe that Satan and his demons rebelled against God, and therefore is the enemy of God and all of His creation. Satan is the enemy of the Church and the antichrist is his spirit. We believe that Jesus exposed and disarmed him by the power of the cross. It is written that Satan will have his place in the lake of fire. Luke 10: 17-20; Colossians 2:15; 1John 3:8; James 4:7;

2 Thessalonians 2:4; Revelation 20:10; Matthew 16:18

We believe that Jesus is “the full armor” of God. We are directed to vest ourselves in Him.

Ephesians 6:13-18

Stewardship

We believe that God is the creator and all things belong to Him.

It is God who moves us to demonstrate faithfulness through good stewardship. This truth compels the man of God to give his best offering of gratitude and praise. This is reflected in his tithes and offerings.

1 Chronicles 29:11-12; Genesis 14: 18-20

                                                                      Commitment to Israel

Israel is God’s first born Son. Through Israel all nations shall be blessed.

We believe in supporting and blessing Israel.

Genesis 12:3; Psalm 122:6; Romans 11:26-28

Baruch ha ba B’shem Adonai! “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
